Terms and conditions Sóti Lodge – accommodation:
Sóti Lodge is a category IV hotel, registered and licensed in accordance with act 85/2007.
Check-in: 14:00 – 19:00. Late check-in requests must be made min. 6hrs in advance. Set menu dinner is included in price and served at 19:30. For guests arriving after 20:30, a light dinner is provided.
Cooking is not permitted in rooms.
Sóti Lodge is licensed to serve alcohol and offers a range of alcoholic beverages. The consumption of alcoholic beverages not purchased on the premises is prohibited in common area such as dining room and lounge.
Check-out: 08:00 – 11:00.
Cancellations have to be made three days prior to arrival for standard bookings. If cancellation is made later, we will charge the first night. Non-refundable bookings are not refunded.
Prices are inclusive of VAT and include breakfast, dinner and access to the Barðslaug thermal pool. Children under the age of six stays for free (one child per room in twin and double) and a cot is provided for the children, subject to availability.
Pets are not allowed at the establishment.
Children under 2 stay free of charge. A cot is available and can accommodate one per room, but we ask you kindly to contact the reception prior to arrival to reserve a cot.
Children’s prices apply to children 2-11 years of age.
We accept: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Discover & Union Pay. We reserve the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival A booking can not be made without confirmed credit card information.
Data use
We promise clients complete confidentiality regarding all information provided by the customer in connection with the transaction. Customer information will not be disclosed to any third party under any circumstances.
By booking through our system, we reserve the right to utilise information from our system, such as e’mail, residence, age, or business history, to generate targeted messages to clients. This information is never disclosed to any third party. Clients can unsubscribe from our mailing lists at any time.
These provisions and terms should be interpreted in accordance with Icelandic law. In the event of a dispute or if any person considers that he has a claim against Sóti Lodge on the basis of terms and conditions, such dispute or claim will be referred to the Icelandic court for consideration.

Operator Information
All tours and activities are operated by Sóti Summits referred to as “the company,” “we,” or “us” in this document. Sóti Summits is licenced as a travel agency by the Iceland Tourist Board (licence no. 2020-016) and registered as Sóti Travel ehf. with the Icelandic Register of Enterprises.
Financial Protection
The company complies with The Act on Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements no. 95/2018, ensuring protection for package tours and travel guarantees. We are also a member of the Travel Insurance Fund, in accordance with Regulation no. 812/2012 on the Travel Insurance Fund.
Applicability
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made for activity packages such as ski tours (back country and cross country skiing), mixed winter adventure tours, hiking tours, boat tours, bike tours and summer activity tours.
Booking and Payment
4.1. Eligibility: Bookings are accepted from individuals aged 18 and above. Bookings for minors require written consent from a legal guardian and must be accompanied by an adult.
4.2. Confirmation: Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation. Please review it carefully and notify us of any errors immediately. Confirmation of booking may require a non-refundable deposit, as stated in individual tour descriptions.
4.3. Payment: Payments must be made in full by the specified due date. Accepted payment methods include bank transfers, credit cards and payments through electronic payment links supplied by us. Additional fees may apply for international payments.
Cancellations by Clients
Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:
- Up to 21 days before arrival: 80% of total price.
- 20 – 7 days before arrival: 50% of total price.
- Less than 7 days before arrival: Full price.
We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance. Contact your insurance provider for coverage details.
6. Alterations by the Company
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of significant changes as soon as possible and offer alternatives when feasible. Minor changes are considered part of the travel experience.
Prices
Prices are subject to adjustment based on changes in underlying costs, including taxes. You will be notified of any price increase exceeding 8% and may cancel the booking without penalty if desired.
Minimum Group Size
Some activities require a minimum group size, as indicated in the trip description. If the group size is not met, we may cancel the trip or offer alternatives with an additional charge.
Cancellation by the Company
If we cancel your trip, you will receive a full refund unless the cancellation is due to force majeure or extraordinary circumstances beyond our control. We are not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you.
Force Majeure
The company is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government advisories.
